John L. Scott Foundation
Every year, the John L. Scott Foundation sponsors fundraising events throughout the Pacific Northwest to help raise millions of dollars for the needs of children in our community. To contribute to this effort, we are working with Neighborhood House, a local nonprofit organization that helps over 10,000 public housing residents every year to become self-sufficient and financially independent, to provide back-to-school essentials for kids.
As the school year approaches, children throughout Seattle will be shopping for much-needed school supplies. Many of the children served by Neighborhood House are resource-low and need our assistance. Please help us fill their backpacks with washable markers, crayons, jumbo pencils (the fat ones for little hands), scissors, glue sticks, watercolor pan paints, and paper. Bring any of these items to my office. We will turn them over to the generous folks at Neighborhood House who will provide stuffed backpacks to these deserving kids at a party on September 16, 2006.
